classkit_method_renameDynamically changes the name of the given method

Description

bool classkit_method_rename ( string $classname , string $methodname , string $newname )

Note: This function cannot be used to manipulate the currently running (or chained) method.

Warning

This function is EXPERIMENTAL. The behaviour of this function, its name, and surrounding documentation may change without notice in a future release of PHP. This function should be used at your own risk.

Parameters

classname

The class in which to rename the method

methodname

The name of the method to rename

newname

The new name to give to the renamed method

Return Values

Returns TRUE on success or FALSE on failure.

Examples

Example #1 classkit_method_rename() example

foo() {
        return 
"foo!\n";
    }
}

// Rename the 'foo' method to 'bar'
classkit_method_rename(
    
'Example',

);

// output renamed function
echo Example::bar();
